The Popular University Program expands and bets on training in the theme of Clothing Design in municipalities of the region.
The Popular University Program developed by the Extension and Territory Area of the UNR, based in Espacio Esmeralda in the República de la Sexta neighborhood, expanded its scope to the town of Firmat with the teaching of the course Introduction to Clothing Design with face-to-face modality .
At the beginning of this semester, Universidad Popular, which began working in the Barrio República de la Sexta, in the limits of the Ciudad Universitaria de Rosario, expanded its territory by adding courses in other districts of the city of Rosario.
Now, the proposal is presented within the framework of the training in Trades that are offered with the Firmat University Center (CUF) since 2021, in conjunction with the Secretary of Production of the Firmat Municipality. But unlike the Trades courses that are being carried out at the CUF, mostly virtual, for training in Accounting Administration or Network Management, the new course will be taught in person in the La Patria neighborhood to address the theoretical and program practices.
On Wednesday the 31st, the presentation talk was held to tell about the development, background and objectives of the Popular University Program, as well as for local and area entrepreneurs to share their experiences in the field of clothing design. The entrepreneurs who participated were Laura Macevich, Daiana Calisaya, Carina Burgos and Ana Ines Vera from Firmat. For her part, Maricris Rodriguez together with Lucas Ameijide, from Venado Tuerto, shared their venture MiLavie and told about their creative, production and communication process.

In addition, the course program, the work dynamics and the teaching team that will work on this first experience were presented: Luciana Cinalli and Julia Ciliberti Bruniar. They highlighted the importance of this type of training in the region, since there are already people who do work related to clothing design, a course that provides more tools opens up a new field of possibilities.
The course began on Wednesday June 7 and will last 4 months. It is given on Wednesdays from 14:17 p.m. to 1285:XNUMX p.m., in the former School No. XNUMX, Barrio La Patria.
