An experience to frame in the Castagnino Museum

A group of homeless people toured the abstract art exhibition and participated in an art workshop

This Tuesday, the Castagnino Museum hosted a scene worthy of framing. As valuable as the works of art that mostly hang on its walls. People who live on the street and belong to the Mother Teresa group of the parish of Lourdes lived a unique experience.

They toured the abstract art exhibition and participated in an art workshop in a day that was held within the framework of the project "The street does not define me", and which included the participation of one of the women exhibited in the iconic museum of the city.

The day was organized jointly by the Castagnino Foundation, Castagnino Museum, UNR, and the Mother Teresa Lourdes group.

Together with the UNR literacy team, the 23 people who participated in the visit carried out an activity that consisted of choosing phrases that represent them and then making a poster with the works they made in the art workshop. Some of them were "don't let my appearance intimidate you," "it's for today," "we all lose sometimes," and "I'm preparing for the sadness of the weekend."

Meanwhile, before going to the museum, an activity was carried out on which topics affect them the most. From that instance it emerged that the most important thing is discrimination.

For their part, the activity was coordinated by Daniela Famea and Mariana Mena, who are part of the Mother Teresa group from the parish of Lourdes
