The Human Rights Area and the Academic Area of the UNR presented the Program for Mainstreaming the Human Rights Perspective, an unprecedented initiative in the university field.
In the context of International Human Rights Day, the Universidad Nacional de Rosario He presented the Mainstreaming Program of the Human Rights Perspective and held the Recognition of Student Projects in the Key of Human Rights: Memory, Truth and Justice.
“If we can count some truly extraordinary things in the Universidad Nacional de Rosario “It’s because there’s a community firmly grounded in its sense of responsibility that makes things happen. We’ve prioritized the Human Rights agenda because we understand it’s integrally linked to the values and principles of the Argentine Public University. Giving it the necessary centrality isn’t just an administrative act of placing the Human Rights Area at the top of the institutional hierarchy of the University’s governing structure; it’s also a declaration of principles,” explained Rector Franco Bartolacci.
He also highlighted the genuine commitment of the university community and the necessity of revisiting these issues at a time when “matters we thought were settled are once again being debated.” “I also want to take advantage of this event not only to acknowledge all that we have been doing, but to ask that we make an effort to protect what happens at the UNR, which makes things so different here from what happens elsewhere, and even makes it possible for things to happen here that don't happen in many other places.”
Por último, se refirió al programa de transversalización, una novedosa iniciativa que pone en práctica la Universidad desde el 2026 y que contará con un total de seis asignaturas. “Educar es contribuir a la construcción de un campo colectivo de memoria. La ausencia de ese campo compartido, especialmente entre las nuevas generaciones, explica muchas de las dificultades que enfrenta hoy el debate público. Cuando no existe una base común de referencias y sentidos, la discusión se vuelve más compleja, y allí las instituciones educativas y culturales tienen un rol ineludible. Por eso es tan importante el paso que estamos dando con la transversalización, una iniciativa inédita en el sistema universitario público argentino. Implica transformar en acciones concretas aquello que promovimos a nivel nacional y que consideramos fundamental para el sistema.
