He is a lawyer and international reference in the field of Human Rights, he was honored by the University.
The renowned lawyer and professor of Human Rights Fabián Salvioli was recognized with the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. The event took place at the University Cultural Space.
Salvioli has a Doctorate in Legal Sciences and a Master's in International Relations. He took over from him as United Nations Special Rapporteur on the promotion of truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition, on May 1, 2018.
“This is an institutional recognition of a very important person for our University. I want to share the satisfaction of being able to incorporate Fabián as part of our community, it is an honor and privilege to be able to do so”, stressed the rector Franco Bartolacci and added: “His excellence, humanity and generosity are recognized; but above all the genuine political commitment of him. This marks the synthesis of what we understand to be a university student and also of what we aspire to be able to do in such a complex world. There is no good academy, management, or institution, if there are not good people involved”.
The Rector stressed that this is an institutional embrace of Salvioli's career and valued his way of understanding life. “We come to value a testimony of life that challenges our University. In this recognition we say thank you for this way of going through life that mobilizes and commits us. When an institution decides to recognize someone, not only the greatness of that person is revealed, but also the modest aspiration of what he wants to be.

As an academic, Salvioli is Professor of International Law and Human Rights at the Law School of the University of La Plata, where he is also Director of the Master's Program in Human Rights and Director of the Human Rights Institute.
She has lectured in numerous countries and universities throughout the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. She is also a member of the General Assembly of the International Institute of Human Rights (in Strasbourg).
