In the Program for Complex Thought, we map complex thought from a paradigmatic perspective—semantic, logical, and ideological—a spiraling path that considers complexity as an event encompassing the unprecedented nature of the human condition, uncertainty, and complementary-antagonistic forces. It is a reform of thought that is questioning, multidimensional, and inclusive, differentiating through integration, distinguishing without mutilating or disintegrating. It generates organizing principles and, rather than transforming the boundaries of disciplines, seeks to transform what creates those boundaries. We strive to avoid the ambiguities and confusions fostered by certain academic trends. For the working group, this emerges as a challenge that, for some years now, has been self-organizing and developing. It is an "enterprise" conceived as a reflective integration from, among, and beyond diverse disciplines, confronting the paradigmatic blind spots that have placed us in a blind spot regarding the problems of the university.
Starting in 2008, self-organization emerged as a challenge for the working group. It is built in an “enterprise conceived as a reflective integration of diverse knowledge and confronts the paradigmatic blindnesses that have put blinders on us when faced with the problems of the university.”
For this reason, the general objective of this Program is to create an inter/transdisciplinary academic work space for the study of complex thinking and for the realization of research and teaching and the addressing of current university problems from this perspective.
The Complex Thinking Program is considered as the sequence of actions and activities, which, having Complex Thinking as the object of study, must be carried out to meet the proposed objectives and goals. It involves the integration of human, material, physical and financial resources necessary for its execution. It covers activities in all the fields statutorily established as Missions and Functions of the University; is dedicated to the field of Research as one of its central tasks.
The emergence of complex thinking, a paradigm - semantic, logical and ideological - in which we try not to fall into the ambiguities to which it has been brought by certain academic fashions, occurs as a spiral walk that thinks of complexity as an event that includes the unprecedented nature of the human condition, uncertainty and antagonistic complementarities, a reform of questioning and multidimensional thought, inclusive that differentiates by integrating, that generates organizing principles and that, more than transforming the borders of the disciplines, tries to transform what that generates these borders.
:: JUSTIFICATION AND RATIONALE:
The current situation demands that Institutions dedicated to Higher Education produce mobilizing changes in ways of thinking and acting focused on traditional paradigms characterized by disjunction, exclusion, and simplification. Our University is not immune to the crisis generated by disputes between traditional academic, teaching, management and research models and new perspectives and demands; between the demands of the world in which the professional lives and must insert himself and the training received.
This situation calls for replacing the paradigm of disjunction/reduction/one-dimensional with a paradigm of distinction/conjunction/inclusion that leads us to distinguish without disarticulating; associate without identifying, articulate without confusing, integrate without mixing.
Along the path taken since its creation, an interdisciplinary group has been self-organized for the study and dissemination of complex thought. It is notable that the disciplinary/inter/transdisciplinary reflective processes within the group confronted us with emerging issues that lie in the academic units to which each of the members comes, imposing on us the challenge of responding from other places.
This is how it has been thought about:
– Concrete training and education actions to address academic and institutional issues demanded by the UNR.
– Form research teams.
– Integrate communication networks with the main centers of complex thought.
– Promote meetings with national and international thinkers for exchange and training in this thought.
– Develop activities aimed at knowledge and dissemination of CP.
– Promote conferences, talks, conferences, congresses, other events.
– Participate in Congresses, Conferences and meetings.
– Prepare materials and productions of the Program for the communicability of results.
– Establish a bibliographic and dissemination center.
– Integrate Master's and Doctorate Seminars from the Perspective of Complex Thinking.
The Program for Complex thinking was created on November 25, 2008 according to CS Resolution No. 1018/2008 within the scope of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario
:: MEMBERS: By Resolution CS 1073/2009 dated April 23, 2009, Prof. Dr. Josefa J. García de Ceretto was appointed as Director and Prof. Raquel Madis Chiara was appointed as deputy director. As of 2010, due to the resignation of his deputy director, Dr. Carlos Arcocha was appointed.
Group formation. Members as of 2011-2012. The interdisciplinary work group is formed and consolidated made up of UNR teachers with different disciplinary profiles, coming from various academic units and who have demonstrated sufficient background to assume the responsibility and demands of the program.
