A new action protocol was approved in situations of violence and the opening of a Care Center for sons and daughters of the university community.
The Superior Council of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario It had its first session of 2022 in person at the Government Headquarters. It approved the update of the Protocol in situations of violence and discrimination based on gender, gender identity and/or expression or sexual orientation.
Among the novelties, virtuality is considered as a scenario for situations of violence and a specific procedure for minors, including principles of the civil code and the regulations that enshrine the rights of children and adolescents. Likewise, the incorporation of a legal advisor with a gender perspective and a unified registry of situations that will allow information on the approach to violence at the local and national level.
The ordinance includes the provision of two posts to each of the academic units for spaces for attention to situations of violence and provides protection and prevention measures as well as repair and restoration. As an institutional strengthening policy, care and follow-up devices will be regulated at the UNR Health Center and a care and follow-up device for men who commit violence will be created.

The updating of this ordinance means a great advance in terms of approach and prevention and is the reaffirmation of the UNR's commitment to work for gender equality and the eradication of sexist violence.
On the other hand, it was approved to dismiss women and femininities from the seat of government, Rectorate and University Cultural Space of the UNR from their labor functions on March 8 in order to guarantee their effective participation in the activities proposed for the international day of women, lesbians, bisexuals, transvestites, trans, intersex, non-binaries, people with disabilities, Afro-descendants, original and indigenous people.
CUR Care Center
During the session, the opening of the first Care Center for sons and daughters of members of the university community who study or work at the CUR was announced. The purpose is to accompany students so that they can carry out their activities and finish their degrees, as well as guarantee conditions for teaching and non-teaching work at the University. The Center is located in Pje. Puerto Belgrano 146 bis (Berrutti at 2100) and will be inaugurated with the start of classes.
In order to contemplate all the students' study schedules and the workers' working hours, the center will have three shifts: morning, afternoon and night. This first experience arises from work in the areas of extension and university welfare in coordination with CeDIPF, a territorial work organization in the Republic of the Sixth. The idea is then to replicate it in other geographical areas of the University, as has happened with the canteen policy that began in Siberia and is now covering the entire University.

“The social context of the health emergency brought to the forefront of the public agenda the importance of care policies and of having strategies to reconcile domestic-family and work-educational life, sustainable not only under an extraordinary situation but also under a new normal that is perceived and experienced on a daily basis as precarious and unstable in many material and symbolic ways. In this sense, it is understood that conciliation and care policies require infrastructure, resources and actions that mitigate or eliminate the reproduction of invisible gender gaps that occur in access and permanence in the University as a learning and work environment ". It is expressed in the fundamentals of the proposal.
Health promotion
Rector Franco Bartolacci took stock of the operation of the health promotion campaign carried out by the UNR within the framework of the return to full face-to-face.
With the purpose of guaranteeing a responsible return, the University arranged sanitary posts at the entrances to all the faculties, in which health agents, graduates of the last promotion of the School of Trades and volunteers from the Faculty of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences participated.

Within this campaign, 189 swab tests were carried out, 24 of which were positive. The percentage of positivity of the tests was 12,5%, about 10 points less than what is being shown on average in the general public of Rosario, which shows the commitment of the university community with care measures for a return sure. Likewise, 95% vaccination coverage was verified among those attending the academic units.
The proposal is completed with the installation of the COVID vaccination at the “7 de abril” Health Center, dependent on the UNR Health Directorate, which will begin to fully function from this Thursday, March 4. So far, the appointments available for the first two weeks have been completed, accounting for 10% of those registered to receive their first dose, while the rest will complete the current vaccination scheme. "In this way, we continue to reinforce the University's commitment to the collective health of our community," said Bartolacci.
Another of the topics discussed was the appointment of Lucas Del Chierico, a graduate in Social Communication, as the new director of Radio UNR, replacing the outgoing authority, María Ines Suidini. Del Chierico is a professor at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations and has worked in different functions within Radio UNR.
