One year after the launch of this device, 35 new professionals received their recognition.

Within the framework of a new anniversary of the beginning of the administration of the rector Franco Bartolacci and the vice-rector Darío Masía, the Universidad Nacional de Rosario presented diplomas to the first graduates of the rEgresar Program. The meeting took place at the University Cultural Space.

The rEgresar Program, a device that UNR launched in mid-2023, pays special attention to students who have left their academic career and want to finish it. To date, it has allowed more than 2 students to have the opportunity to complete their university studies.

“What a pleasure we are, despite living in the times we are living in, to be able to celebrate these first five years of collective work, recognizing those who are the protagonists of one of the most beautiful things that our university could conclude in this time, which is the REGRESS Program. It is unforgivable that the Public University does not build a tool that allows us to reconnect with those who once visited our classrooms, our workshops, the hallways, and it is wonderful to see how that tool makes sense, because massively many people were present to be able to close that chapter that still “It was open,” said Rector Bartolacci.

In addition, the Rector recognized the work of the UNR Academic and Learning Area and all the teams from each of the faculties that have accompanied these trajectories, and tutors who do a great job to make this possible. “Every time we put a video on social media that tells the story of each graduate and new graduate, why they returned, how they made the decision, what they did to be able to graduate, there are many people who write to us to say that they wants to join the program and wants to finish his university career. And what we built here does not happen anywhere else in the country, but there it began to infect not only people who attended our university, but other universities to generate similar tools due to the power that this initiative has.”

Finally, Bartolacci highlighted the potential of this innovative program: “We want to continue incorporating more graduates, and continue sharing these emotional stories that inspire others to complete their university career. Thank you for returning to this, your always home.”

In a climate of great emotion, 35 students received their diploma and completed a stage that had been postponed for many years. They were: Agustina Florencia Mazza, Mauro Nahuel Arias, Nancy Ruiz Messulam, Hernán Rossi, Mariela Fernanda Campra, Joel Oene, Ricardo Antonio Peralta, Verónica Travaglino, Daniel Alejandro Henze, Anabella Carina Saita, Anahí Gonzales Grass, Natalia Belén Rojas, Cristián Fredes , Julio Alberto Dagatti, Agustina Foster Ferrer, Mariana Noelia Mansilla, Noelia Peña, Emilia Jazmín Nardelli, Lucas Serri, Clarisa Vecco, Estefanía García, Juan Gabriel Powell, María Belén Birro, Gabriela Susana Sgrazzutti, Sofía Belén Gonzalez, Esteban Morin, Mara Campa , Manuel Bessone, Luis Gonzalez, Clarisa Lago, Marcelo Alberto Puisegur, Agustina Gongora, Gabriela Luquez, Blas Tirabassi, and Mariel Elizabeth Mauri.

“Today we are here to celebrate the courage and determination to fulfill a dream, that of returning to the University. Just a year ago we launched the REGRESAR Program, which represents a historic event for the UNR, which went out to meet its students, who for some reason had distanced themselves from the University, having a few subjects pending and in many cases alone a final project,” explained the person in charge of the Academic and Learning Area, Romina Pérez, and added: “That all of this is possible is thanks to your commitment and personal effort. But I also cannot fail to mention it, that of our community. The tutors, with their dedication and generosity, have been an essential pillar in the advancement of their careers.”

Likewise, Pérez highlighted that a university that believes in its students, that even in its massiveness and complexity recognizes and accompanies individualities, reflects the commitment to public education, with its power to transform society. “A society that sustains itself and places trust and desire in achieving a better future. UNR today not only celebrates its new graduates, but also every day it has the joy and pride of being able to accompany more than 2000 students who are closer to achieving their much-inherited university degree, taking subjects, living their last exams and writing their destinies.”

In addition, the tutors who accompanied these new professionals on the final journey of their university training were recognized: Melina Duca, Kay Scheiber, Victoria Zangara, Gonzalo Garcia, Aldana Carbonari, Amado Desir, Verónica Melatini, Emilse Calderón, Sofía Viera, Araceli Colombo, Silvio Crudo, Silvina Alejandra Genoud, Soledad Casasola, Agostina Tissoco, Danisa Vitrich, Maximiliano Pino, Camila Borean, Isabella Rapuzzi, María Victoria Zocci, M. Laura Pujol, María Eugenia Pérez Aguinaga, Marcela Rosales, Eliseo Guzmán , Verónica Stagnitta, Lucía Fernández Cívico, Hugo Marengo, Camila Tedaldi, and Verónica García.

The Vice Chancellor Darío Masía, those responsible for the management areas of the UNR, and authorities from all academic units were present. In addition, the Minister of Education of the Province of Santa Fe, José Goity, and the President of the Municipal Council of Rosario, María Eugenia Schmuck, participated in the delivery of diplomas.

In this way, UNR continues to enhance its actions, recognizing the importance of encouraging the entry, permanence, and return of more students to the institution, contributing to the strengthening of higher education in the region.

More and better public university

Last August 6th also marked one year since Franco Bartolacci and Darío Masía assumed their second term as Rector and Vice-Rector of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. For this reason, throughout the week an intense agenda of activities has been developed that reflects the pillars of this management period.

On Monday, the graduation ceremony was held for the graduates of the Otra Vuelta Program, the secondary level pedagogical proposal, with virtual modality, which launched the Universidad Nacional de Rosario and is intended for young people and adults. In this emotional meeting, the 15 students who graduated from the Bachelor of Social Sciences were recognized and they welcomed a new cohort of 125 students, who begin their studies in this second part of the year.

In addition, this Wednesday and Thursday the University Welfare Area and the Public Health Area of the UNR, together with the FUR and the Rosario Medical College, carried out highly competitive medical checks on 120 students who do not have medical coverage and who will compete in the Interfaculty Tournament in the month of September. In this sense, anthropometric measurements, electrocardiograms, cardiovascular evaluation, visual acuity and clinical history with physical examination were performed.

Finally, the week ended with the delivery of diplomas to the first graduates of the rEGRESAR Program, an unprecedented initiative at the national level that quickly showed its impact.

" Universidad Nacional de Rosario "It has an extraordinarily professional, committed team, with its shirt on, that feels what is happening and that gives it the ability to transform what happens to us and that is why we can tell a good part of the things that we are telling here today," said Rector Bartolacci. and recalled: “We have had very particular years, we lived through the first two years with a pandemic and everything that that implied, almost all the time with economic difficulties, particularly this extremely complex year. And even with that exceptionality we can share and expose one of the most important expansion processes in the history of the University of Rosario.”

The Rector briefly reviewed the last five years and the objectives achieved: “In terms of academic expansion, as rarely before, our University's proposal grew and diversified. In terms of infrastructure, the heritage was planned and began to be recovered in all areas of the UNR. In terms of the presence of the Public University, the debates, the concerns, what our time demands and needs, rarely the Universidad Nacional de Rosario He said present with the power and in the way we are doing it.”

Finally, he emphasized that this state of situation must be a commitment to go for more, since “there is so much effort made by a society that is structurally bad, that is broken, with many people who have a really bad time to support us and to accompany each of the actions that we generate, that we cannot rest in the task of going through the transformations that are pending, that we cannot relax only about what has been built, that we cannot admit and assume that defending the public university is only to demand or manage and is not associated with the unavoidable task of going through the pending transformations so that our institution is a better prepared instrument to comply with the context in which we are living", and added: "It is not only training and training well, it is not Only guaranteeing hours of excellence in the diploma we deliver, is also thinking about the public voice of the university, its social commitment, scientific development, the production of knowledge, everything we generate turned around, facing the problems that the city of Rosario, our region, the province of Santa Fe and the country have. If we are capable of walking these paths, if we are, as we have been so many times throughout our history, at the height of the circumstances, I have no doubt that hope will generally illuminate this gloomy present.”
