To continue expanding postponed rights, 5 people with disabilities will enter the non-teaching plant of the UNR
This Wednesday, August 25, the applicants selected to enter the non-teaching plant of the UNR within the Labor Quota for People with Disabilities were announced, in an act in which the Rector Lic Franco Bartolacci participated; the General Secretary of the APUR union, Miguel Roldán; and the Secretary of the Human Rights Area, Paula Contino, with which the second admission of people with disabilities to our House of Studies materialized.
The selected applicants are Fabricio Porporini, Stella Maris Febre, Candelaria López, Mateo Maldonado and Gabriela Fernández, who will enter different spaces at the UNR according to their suitability, such as Building Policy at the Government Headquarters, the Faculty of Biochemical Sciences, the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, the Faculty of Psychology and the University Library.
La Universidad Nacional de Rosario It is one of the first higher education institutions that adapted to the provisions of National Law 25.689 on the employment of personnel with disabilities. And through this quota we reaffirm the decision and commitment to work for an inclusive and diverse University that guarantees the rights and effective participation of people with disabilities as active members of the university community. In this sense, working from the criterion of singularity, that is, valuing diversity and respect for differences.
The Rector Lic. Franco Bartolacci, through Resolution No. 53173/2021, established the approval of the Quota for People with Disabilities, which provided for the incorporation of those who meet the suitability conditions required for vacant positions, respecting 4% of the incorporations in gender equality and making the articulation with the APUR Union Entity effective, according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement 366/06, under the motto “together for an inclusion without distinctions”.
The registration to the Single Registry of Applicants was public and was available in person and online during October and November of last year, a period during which almost 300 registrations were received. The selected profiles were chosen through a process of interviews carried out by the Evaluation Commission, made up of five people, one representing the Human Rights Area, one representing the Administration Department, one from the Health Area and one representing the Area of Social and Union Action.
After a pre-selection by order of merit, the selection process continued for the admission of 5 applicants to the non-teaching staff of the UNR. In each case, the human talent, academic and work background and the general characteristics of the life history of each applicant were taken into account.
In this first stage, the Human Rights Area, together with the Inclusion and Accessibility Department, takes the commitment and responsibility to accompany the new workers in the labor inclusion process, guaranteeing an accessible work space that meets the requirements necessary for the development of the functions assigned in each position.
Through the Training and Improvement Center, the Area of Social and Union Action will dictate the Continuous Occupational Training Course for entrants, as established by the Regulations for Entry to the initial category according to Collective Agreement 366/06 for non-teaching staff of the UNR .
