Within the framework of the closing of the year of the courses carried out in the Popular University Program, which cover the initial and advanced levels of Clothing Design, the launch of the Undergraduate diploma in molding and construction practices.

The event took place on Wednesday, December 13 at the ECU, where there was also an exhibition of the students of the Clothing Design courses, a parade of alternative materials and a presentation of certificates to the participants.

La Undergraduate diploma in molding and construction practices It arises as a joint work between the Extension and Territory Area of the University and the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of the UNR. It is a training path that introduces students to basic knowledge and knowledge in everything related to creativity when thinking about a design and raising awareness about its structures and materialization in textile production.

The novelty of this new academic proposal is that it has three modules made up of the already current courses of the People's University and a matter of Bachelor of Clothing Design, the same are in detail: Introduction to clothing design, Advanced level clothing design and the matter Molding and construction practices I. This staggered structuring of training paths seeks to respond to current needs, providing greater flexibility to future students and preserving the quality of the contents.

Likewise, the diploma can foster an area that, from a situated approach, questions and deconstructs the canonical perspectives that oppose theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge, hierarchizing the former and subalternizing the latter from the opposition high culture/popular culture.

This new academic path is directed by the Fine Arts graduate María Laura Carrascal and its teacher will be Hebe Pierobon, current teacher in charge of the Clothing Design courses taught in the Popular University Program.
