On Tuesday, August 18, from 8 a.m. to 19 p.m. at the University Cultural Center (San Martín 750), in-person pre-registration for the second semester courses will open. Classes will begin in September.
The UNR School of Trades is opening a new pre-registration period for its second semester. The program offers 23 free courses in areas such as administration, digital communication, artificial intelligence, technology, renewable energy, agribusiness, and technical trades, among others.
Pre-registration will be in person, on Tuesday, August 18, at the University Cultural Space (ECU), located at San Martín 750, from 8 a.m. to 19 p.m.
The objective of this device, which the UNR put into operation in 2021, is to provide socio-labor training tools based on short training cycles that generate skills and abilities for job insertion in the most diverse areas, regardless of the level of schooling. achieved by people who register.
Rector Franco Bartolacci highlighted that, during its first five years of operation, the UNR School of Trades has already graduated more than 15 students. “Being able to implement this tool and effectively link training programs with the needs of the local and regional productive sector is not an easy task, and often it's an uphill battle. We want the School to be a gateway to the University, a bridge to the world of work,” he stated.
Bartolacci recalled that when the first call for applications to the School of Trades was made in 2021, it marked a complete shift in the way the University was conceived. “Initially, the courses were rather general, and as the school progressed, its focus became increasingly specialized. This allowed us to strengthen ties with municipalities, local communities, organizations, and chambers of commerce, which now makes it easier for more people trained at the school to later access formal employment. That, ultimately, is the goal we set for ourselves.”

It should be noted that this call only applies to courses that are managed entirely by the UNR, since at the same time other training proposals continue to be taught based on different agreements with municipalities and communes of the south-central part of the Province of Santa Fe, with the Undersecretariat of Social Economy and the Employment Directorate of the Municipality of Rosario, the Stock Exchange and other companies and cooperatives in the region.
In this way, the University's School of Trades continues to reaffirm its commitment to the training of human resources that can be inserted into the world of work in Rosario, the Province of Santa Fe and the region. This new cycle not only consolidates its trajectory, but also expands its training proposal, opening new opportunities for those seeking to acquire practical skills and knowledge in various fields.
Registration method
To optimize the allocation of available places, pre-registration for the Vocational School courses will be held in person on Tuesday, August 18th at the ECU. Those wishing to register must complete a form with their personal, socioeconomic, and employment information. Additionally, some courses will include a brief interview to gauge each applicant's interest.
This new pre-registration option requires that a person enroll in a discipline in addition to meeting the following requirements: be 18 years of age, available to attend on the scheduled days and times, and have digital tools for those courses that require them.
Placements will be assigned based on various priority criteria, such as employment status (formal or informal employment, unemployment), participation in previous editions of the Trade School, and other personal conditions, such as responsibility for caring for others.
This methodology, which was already implemented with registration at the beginning of the year, seeks to ensure more equitable access, avoiding the possibility of spaces being filled quickly through online registration. A waiting list will also be implemented to fill any vacancies that may become available. Attendance at the first two classes will be mandatory; in the event of absence, the spot will be reassigned to the next person on the waiting list.
