La Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR) renewed its alliance with Mercado del Patio so that the university community can access important discounts and benefits.

La Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR) renewed its strategic alliance with Mercado del Patio with the intention of expanding the benefits for the almost 130.000 people who make up the university community - students, teachers and non-teachers - who will be able to access discounts on quality products.

The signing of the agreement took place this Tuesday, April 4, at the main entrance to the Mercado del Patio, at Cafferata 729, with the participation of Rector Franco Bartolacci, the Secretary of Economic Development and Employment of the Municipality, Sebastián Chale, members of the work of the Mercado del Patio, and the Secretary of the University Well-being Area, José Ignacio Mangiamelli.

“We are very happy, we have been working to multiply the tools we have to assist our community in a very difficult economic context. We are talking about around 130 people who make up our university community, including teachers, non-teachers, and students. This benefits program is going to have many stores attached in the city, and in this particular case there are 31 within the Mercado del Patio”, explained the rector Franco Bartolacci.

The Rector thanked the municipal authorities and the Patio Market for their commitment and willingness to carry out this agreement. “The premises are going to provide discounts and benefits to the UNR community, you only need to present a regular student certificate, social work credential or salary receipt, as the case may be. Some benefits were already being developed and some are added in this new stage,” he assured and added: “In almost all cases they are 20 percent discounts. We want to continue adding benefits and that is why we call on locals in the city who have any interest in connecting with our community, to contact the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, to be able to add them to this benefits program.”

Chale and Bartolacci signing the agreement that enables the benefits for the Mercado del Patio.
The benefits and discounts are already enabled for the entire UNR community.

Merchants who want to join the UNR benefits network must contact the University Well-being Area to register. “For us it is one of the many measures that we are taking in terms of well-being, since like no other National University in the country, we are investing a large part of our budget in this type of policy. We believe that it is necessary to accompany and care for our community in every way, in a comprehensive way, and for this reason we prioritize policies that guarantee the academic development of our workers and students,” Bartolacci explained.

Sebastián Chale described this agreement as essential and necessary to contribute to the economic development of commercial premises in the city. “We are developing several lines of action together with the University. In this case, it was very important to launch this network of benefits within the Mercado del Patio premises because it is an area where many university students live and, in addition, it is in front of the Bus Terminal, a central space for the out-of-town students. We have 31 affiliated stores and we hope that as the weeks go by there will be even more”.

As of April, those who present their identification as a member of the university community (regular student certificate, UNR social work credential, or salary receipt), will obtain important discounts and benefits in the following locations of the Mercado del Patio adhered to said promotion: Sal Si Puedes, Gianduia Gelateria, Verde Que Te Quiero Verde, Lo De Granado, Luco Express, Campos de Arnold, Sanduba, Oro Bianella, Mi Tierra Bar, Santa Fe Cheese Warehouse, Grana Terra, Zazen Smoothie Bar , Posta Gourmet, I Love My Kokedamas, Churrasquito, Boutique Bakery, Campos Deli, Cero341, Wuandú, El Corral Carnes, Capitán Morfi, Cotar, Hank's, Pandy's, Pastas Sanguinetti, Tierra del Té, Ronnie, Club De La Milanesa and Growler Garage & Café, Lemmys Pizza, Alma Rural.
