La Universidad Nacional de Rosario It has the new "Dr. Arturo Illia" Health Center for the community of the Rosario University Center (Siberia).

The Siberia Health Center, open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., aims to facilitate access to the healthcare system for the university community and guarantee convenient, accessible, and timely care. It has five consultation rooms offering general medicine, social work, psychology, and nursing services, as well as various other service areas.

-Sexual and reproductive health care with a gender and diversity perspective.

-Support in situations of problematic substance use.

-Addressing and support in mental health issues.

-Monitoring of health problems and chronic diseases, both communicable and non-communicable.

To register, you must be a teacher, non-teaching staff member, or a currently enrolled university student without health insurance. Appointments can be scheduled, or you can come without an appointment in urgent situations. In these cases, the healthcare team will assess the situation and provide support to arrange follow-up care.

The care model is based on teamwork and the importance of a "first listening" that allows receiving, guiding and accompanying each patient according to their needs.

This new Health Center joins the existing 7 de Abril (Alvear 724), Casilda, and Zavalla Health Centers, all coordinated by the University's Public Health Department. Last year, they provided over 15.000 consultations in internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, psychiatry, dentistry, kinesiology, nutrition, speech therapy, nursing, and diagnostic laboratory services.

The work of the Public Health Area is complemented by a strong promotion and prevention policy. Throughout 2025, 61 activities were carried out, including campaigns, training sessions, and volunteer health initiatives. Within this framework, 3.115 doses of vaccines (influenza, hepatitis B, adult tetanus-diphtheria, and hemorrhagic fever) were administered, 510 HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis C tests were performed, and 100 blood donations were collected at various community blood drives.

In addition, the first cohort of the Health Volunteering program was launched, with 1.200 registered students who participated in training and territorial activities in the city of Rosario and surrounding areas.

In this way, the University promotes comprehensive health care as an essential part of university life. From a preventative, healthcare, and community perspective, actions are developed to guarantee the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the community.
