It will be under the orbit of the CEI and was presented by the rector Franco Bartolacci.
La Universidad Nacional de Rosario launched its new Diploma in Environmental and Health Aspects. This new training instance was presented by the rector of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Franco Bartolacci and the Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEI), Dario Maiorana.
“In these last two years we have made a lot of progress in the design of new training paths, even with all the difficulties that we have had to go through. It must be valued because the UNR community continued to realize the challenges that had arisen, regardless of the pandemic," said Rector Bartolacci and added: "Having created the diploma course made it possible to move forward more quickly, and it is One of the challenges of today's University is to incorporate agenda topics that are often not contained in current academic proposals. We launched more than 50 new training paths and I want to highlight the work of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies to be able to launch all these new paths.”
The diploma is developed within the framework of the Interuniversity Network of Environment and Health (REDINASCE), made up of the six public universities in the region: Córdoba, Río Cuarto, Villa María, Rosario, Litoral and Entre Ríos. Its objective is to address issues related to the environment, human health and biodiversity in the central region of the country.
Darío Maiorana specified that in the orbit of the CEI there are already 15 diploma courses operating and that the idea is to be able to launch new ones. “We have 6 already approved that we are going to put into operation this year and, as the Rector has just stated, they are novel offers because they have a different perspective than what we are used to. This particular diploma comes from a consolidated work and research team led by Alejandro Oliva, which has already produced a lot of fruit and is going to be an important training event for our region.”

After the presentation, a discussion was held on the environmental impact on health and community communication experiences for social action, led by Luc Multigneres and Ana Rosa Moren.
Luc Multigneres is an epidemiologist and director of research at Inserm (National Institute of Health and Medical Research) in France. His research area primarily covers the study of the impact of chemical environmental factors, such as pesticides and endocrine disruptors, on reproductive health.
