Core of work: Internationalization and University Quality

Director: Dr. Alejandra Noemí Chena

The Internationalization and University Quality Working Group is a space for critical debate, reflection, and ongoing professional development with an international dimension as an intrinsic quality of academia. Its focus is on strengthening and supporting university life in both governance and knowledge management through innovative actions, including internationally focused research and dissemination, training, and support through seminars, workshops, courses, and forums. It maintains active collaboration with local teams while always projecting an international dimension, promoting networking and cooperation with institutions in other countries, regional blocs, and agencies. Similarly, it serves as the starting point for formal and institutionalized lines of research that promote knowledge production with an international dimension. Its comprehensive promotion aims to build a shared epistemic space capable of designing a common agenda, fostering networking, and allowing for the sharing of value systems and beliefs, even those from different cultural backgrounds. Informal relationships are valued alongside formal ones, and academic credentials are respected and valued, while professional diversity is embraced. This dynamic is replicated across the three pillars: teaching, research, and outreach. The outreach activities inherent to the program focus on providing academic training on the subject matter to the various faculty and departments within the institution.
