:: RATIONALE:
The Work Center on Cultural Practices and Experiences aims to establish itself as a space for research, training, extension and intervention on cultural practices developed in various contexts. Starting from an interdisciplinary perspective that contemplates the dialogue of multiple actors, trajectories and territories, the Nucleus aims to create a space for the investigation, articulation and development of cultural experiences.
Cultural practices constitute a fundamental part of the contemporary social fabric. Rosario and its region have been a prolific laboratory of experiences of this type in recent decades. Multiple creative expressions give life to a city crossed by various constructions of meaning. However, this framework and the scenes, imaginaries and aesthetic-political sensibilities that compose it have been, over the years, scarcely recorded, studied, put into discussion and circulation, thereby hindering the possibilities of reflection and visibility. thereof.
In recent years, from different more or less institutionalized spaces, there has been a growing interest in thinking about the cultural practices of the region. Within the framework of these experiences, a peculiar academic proposal emerged in 2010, the Master's Degree in Cultural Studies and, subsequently, the Research Program in Cultural Studies that, from the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, stand out as a pole of thought production on these issues. In this space, important studies on cultural practices and itineraries have been generated throughout these years, with, in many cases, Rosario, and the province of Santa Fe, a privileged object of these investigations.
