The UNR Rector signed agreements with several municipalities in the south-central part of the province to expand access to higher education.

La Universidad Nacional de Rosario signed framework agreements with the municipalities of Santa Teresa, General Gelly, Sargento Cabral and Cañada Rica in the Constitución Department. Also with Hughes in the General López Department, Barracas in the San Jerónimo Department and Luis Palacios in the San Lorenzo Department.

The agreements took place at the University's Government headquarters and were signed by the Rector Franco Bartolacci and the communal presidents of Santa Teresa, José Giry; of General Gelly, María Paula Serfelippe; of Sargento Cabral, Juan Ignacio Genzano and of Cañada Rica, Oscar Alfonso Fernández. Also with the communal presidents of Hughes, Mauricio Donati; of Barracas, Jorge Calvet and of Luis Palacios, Adrian Biyovich.

On this occasion, the authorities discussed the strategic role of public education and especially of the University in the development and planning of the territory. In this sense, they emphasized the development of activities linked to vocational schools, diplomas, training, paying special attention to the particularities of each locality in a joint effort with their administrations.

In this way, the Public University continues to work in the south-central part of the province so that each locality can exercise its right to access quality education.
