With more than 30 disciplines in operation, the University continues to consolidate its sports area.

The Physical Education Department begins 2026 by promoting sports activities, both competitive and recreational. With over 6 people attending monthly and five facilities available, the UNR offers a wide range of options for students, faculty, staff, and graduates.

Team sports such as futsal, basketball, volleyball, hockey, and handball are available, as well as individual sports like tennis, table tennis, and swimming. Other activities include yoga, tai chi, folk dancing, capoeira, contemporary dance, functional training, Zumba, and running.

The University has several sports facilities, including the Gymnasium located at Moreno 460, the Sports Complex at the University City, the Zavalla and Casilda sports centers, and the “La Reforma” complex, located at Francia 750.

At the Moreno 460 headquarters, all kinds of activities can be carried out. Aquagym, synchronized swimming, and swimming at different levels are taught at the swimming pool: freestyle, beginners, and intermediate. In addition, it has a swimming school for children. Last year, more than 2000 people attended these activities.

One of the new activities added this year is a diving course consisting of 4 practical 3-hour classes in the pool and 5 theory modules that are self-study.

You can also visit the Weight Room (with a team of professionals in charge, who are responsible for creating and supervising the routines of those who attend), Kinesiology and the nutritionist.
