Under the slogan "Study in the Public", a massive attendance of high school students came in search of information and guidance on what to study. “It was an extraordinary call. We exceeded all our expectations, and we are very happy”, said the Rector.
For three days, more than 30 thousand students from different secondary schools in Rosario and the region filled the Youth Shed to see all the academic offerings, participate in activities and talks, receive information about study plans, course modalities, requirements registration and entry of the more than 150 careers offered by the Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
"In recent years we have multiplied the training proposals, we have added the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Cultural Management, Graphic Design, Clothing Design, the Technician in Artificial Intelligence, and next year the Real Estate Brokerage and Security career will be launched. Ciudadana, which will also be the first to be taught in a hybrid modality, with more than 50 percent of the virtual workload”, highlighted the rector Franco Bartolacci, adding: “Year after year the UNR training proposal continues to grow. With all the difficulties that the country is going through, we make an enormous effort to diversify the training paths, incorporate new areas of knowledge that are very important for young people today. And year after year the interest of young people to enter the Public University increases. The fact that so many have passed through ExpoCarreras during these three days is proof of this, and it gives us great joy”.
Regarding the motto "Estudiá en la pública" he argued that it is very opportune and necessary. “Hopefully the hope that a lot of young people deposit in the public university continues to multiply. We work so that our institution can be up to the task and do its part so that this wonderful life experience that changes us forever is also unique and incomparable”.

In each one of the stands of the Faculties and the Schools of the UNR it was possible to consult about requirements, dates of registration to the races, admission courses, modalities of course, observe productions and samples of the different races. Likewise, there were positions from the School of Trades and the Popular University program, as well as from different tertiary programs that are developed within the UNR. During the three days, the young people were also able to obtain information on scholarships, canteens, health, physical education and student orientation, all the benefits with which the UNR accompanies its community for a better transit through the institution.
Finally, the Rector called to care and work to continue transforming free public education. “We have said many times that everything that happens to us can be solved with more and better education, with more investment in science and technology, even more so in a country that has as many structural problems as Argentina. We will continue working for a more modern, creative, innovative and excellent University; more inclusive and that is closely linked to the agenda, the actors and the institutions of its time”, he expressed.

Bartolacci thanked the municipality and praised "the coordinated work with the youth area, because the Expo prioritizes being able to do it in the youth sheds and that allowed us to prioritize the proposal and incorporate more tools so that the young people who come can have more elements to make a better decision.
Reasons to choose the public
Walter Farías, from Cañada Rosquín, has already decided to study Agricultural Sciences but he was still interested in all the proposals. “I want to study at the UNR, they have told me that it is very good, and also for economic reasons. They told me that there are good teachers, and I think that it is a great possibility to be able to study”.

Abril Manera is 17 years old, and she already knows that next year she will study Architecture. “Studying at a public university is also a family decision. I went to visit it and I really liked it, the truth is that it exceeded my expectations, I thought the infrastructure was very nice, and so we are going, with great enthusiasm”.
Tobías Grosso is in the 5th year of the Incarnate Word and although he has not yet fully decided, he knows that his future is at the UNR. “I am between Tourism, International Relations and Graphic Design. I like that the new races are not so long. I like the public university because it is close to me and it attracts me is that it opens your mind, it is open to everyone, that seems very important to me”.
Paz Echenique is finishing high school at the Carcarañá Agrotécnica and is determined to study Literature. “I have always liked research, history, ancient stories. I also see myself teaching, as a language teacher”, she glimpses to emphasize that for her education was always thought of in the public sphere.
