In just two days, thousands of people visited the ECU to pre-register for one of the 30 free training programs offered during the first four months of the year.
In the 2021 Universidad Nacional de Rosario launched the Trade School, with the goal of providing socio-laboral training tools through short training cycles. This year, for the first time, in-person pre-registration was offered at the University Cultural Center (ECU) to ensure that as many people as possible could take advantage of these free courses.
For two days, interested applicants attended informational talks about the courses offered during the first semester, learned about the schedules for each training program, and learned the requirements for final registration.
It's worth remembering that in Santa Fe, a total of 3500 trade diplomas were awarded in 2024, spanning more than 70 courses across various professional areas. Furthermore, more than 11 have already been awarded in the three years this proposal has been in place.
Rector Franco Bartolacci praised this initiative, which grows every year: “Oficios was born as an idea to be a gateway to education, a bridge to the world of work. We had a highly successful first edition here in Rosario, and it then began to spread throughout the province of Santa Fe. Last year, we had the opportunity to anchor it in each of the city's districts and incorporate it into the Impulsa Program of the Province of Santa Fe.” He added: “We have more than 11 graduates from the School of Trades, and that fills us with pride. Now, in just two days, more than 3 people have registered for the courses that will be held in the first half of the year. Our hearts are full; we thank everyone who believes in this initiative. We continue working on more tools and devices that will make the UNR more visible in every sense, and also enable those who cannot yet access public universities.”
