The Return Program was launched, which pays special attention to students who have left their academic career and want to finish it.
La Universidad Nacional de Rosario The Regresar Program formally began, which seeks to accompany students so they can finish their university studies. The event took place at the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, with the presence of the registered students and their designated tutors.
This initiative aims to increase the graduation rate, promote retention and regular progress in the academic trajectories of UNR students. In this first edition, 1310 students are participating, who will be accompanied by 186 tutors.
In a moment full of emotion, the students met with tutors and authorities from each of the 12 faculties, who invited them to visit each of the establishments soon to materialize this return to the University.

“We designed a solid and priority academic strategy to guarantee not only the right to access higher education, but also the effective possibility of going through this journey and finishing it. This program will be an articulation of the areas of Academics, Statistics and Computing of our University together with the teams of the 12 Faculties", commented the rector Franco Bartolacci, adding: "We want to accompany our students in this transition so that they can finish their university studies. For this reason, we invite everyone to return to the UNR”.
Recognizing the importance of providing educational opportunities to those who had to interrupt their studies, UNR implements various strategies to promote the return of more students to their classrooms. Through scholarship programs, personalized academic guidance, and flexibility in study schedules, the university seeks to eliminate barriers that may prevent students from resuming their careers.
The Rector valued the implementation of this device, which seeks to relate directly to the personal life stories of the students. “We have come from very encouraging experiences and I believe that the University owed itself a device of these characteristics. It is necessary to get rid of the logic that people are a file number or a statistical number. You have to work with your heart and keep in mind that each person has a life story. I also appreciate the commitment and the great teaching call that this program is having”.
This new UNR device is presented as a complement to the retention, promotion and graduation programs and policies that are already being developed, whose purpose is to address socioeconomic, academic and adaptation to university life problems.
“We have been working hard to get this program up and running. We want to accompany the students in achieving the dream of obtaining a university degree. I want to thank the 12 faculties and their authorities, as well as their management team, which make it possible for more than 1300 students to return to the university path. Without everyone's effort, it is impossible to move such a structure", explained the secretary of the Academic and Learning Area Romina Pérez, and added: "This is the first time that a similar call has been made at the UNR and we have all the expectations in this project. Every conquest is collective and the success of this device depends on the commitment that we make as a university community”.
The Program understands that students have the support of tutors in this final stage of their academic journey. These can be teachers, secondees, graduates and advanced students (with 70% or more of the degree approved), who will be in charge of carrying out a fluid dialogue with the registered participants who are participating in the Return, helping them in each particular case. in what is the return to their higher level studies.
The meeting served not only for the students to learn the details of the Program, but also for them to meet each other again, since many had been classmates before. The stories of each one are unique, some were forced to interrupt their studies due to family responsibilities or economic circumstances, while others found themselves immersed in the world of work without having managed to complete their university degrees. However, time did not end his passion for knowledge and determination to achieve his goals.
During this process of returning to their undergraduate studies, the students find in this reunion a unique opportunity to strengthen the accompaniment between them, sharing experiences and generating a sense of collective belonging. From the administrative point of view, the 1310 students have already been re-enrolled in their respective careers and their study plans have been updated, so that in this way they are already enabled to take subjects and take subjects.
In this way, the UNR continues to strengthen its actions in academic terms, recognizing the importance of promoting the return of more students to the institution and contributing to the strengthening of higher education in the region.
