:: RATIONALE: The Master's Degree in Human Environmental Systems is a postgraduate course aimed at professionals from different disciplines, whose purpose is to provide scientific-academic training for a comprehensive and in-depth approach to the human environment and its problems, in order to be able to act adequately on them. A characteristic of this Master's degree, the first of character interdisciplinary based at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, has been to recognize, in the first instance, that the so-called environmental problems do not need new disciplinary specialists for their solution, but rather academics and professionals trained to approach reality from an apprehensive and interdisciplinary approach, which allows them to visualize and understand their complexity to thus being able to propose environmentally efficient alternatives, minimizing the problems caused by scientific reductionism and by the model of appropriation and exploitation of nature and accumulation of wealth.
During 2023 the 7th Cohort of Masters begins the course.

:: GRADUATE PROFILE: The Master in Human Environmental Systems is trained to investigate and analyze environmental problems through interdisciplinary approaches, from a holistic vision of problems related to human interaction with the environment.
The postgraduate has specific knowledge based on the integration of the dynamic aspects of human environmental systems. These skills allow it to generate research and action instruments (methodological and technical) for the design and development of research and concrete solutions that contribute to the knowledge of human environmental systems and the solution of their problems. He develops a critical, reflective, dynamic and flexible attitude that allows him to act in the "interdisciplinary gray areas", recognizing the need to constantly update his approaches.
His profile is that of an environmental generalist, with an undeniable and particular orientation defined by his disciplinary training.
:: ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Those who have a university degree corresponding to careers in the humanistic, social, exact, constructive, natural and health areas, and other university careers in disciplines related to the subject addressed, issued, may aspire to the Master's degree in Human Environmental Systems. by national or provincial universities, of public or private management, legally recognized or university degree in foreign universities, equivalent to one of those referred to in the preceding paragraph, provided they have the approval of the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Nation. admission per se does not represent revalidation of the degree title.
Applicants for the non-Spanish-speaking degree must prove, at the time of registration, the Independent Intermediate level (82) or higher of knowledge of the Spanish language, in accordance with the standards established by the CEFR (Common European Reference Market for languages). . In case of being admitted, they must prove, prior to the defense of the Final Project (or whatever corresponds), the Advanced level of knowledge of the Spanish language, in accordance with the same standards. The selection of the applicants will be carried out by the Academic Commission of the Career through a resolution based on objective assessment criteria.
Once your admissibility has been resolved, you will be notified that when submitting the master's thesis your authorization will be required to include it in the UNR Institutional Digital Repository, in accordance with what is established by the Open Access regulations of the UNR.
