:: RATIONALE:

The mutation of the Human and Social Sciences is evidence from the second half of the XNUMXth century that reaches important moments of crystallization at the end of the century and in the XNUMXst century, with the advent of new communication technologies and the great transformations of the contemporary world. At the same time, the compartmentalization of the world of knowledge into specific disciplines does not correspond to transdisciplinary and postdisciplinary perspectives that require, to solve problems, the study of complexity. Based on this point, the Master's Degree in Augmented Humanities aims to address an urgent area of vacancy that relates to the relationship that the Humanities and Social Sciences maintain with transdisciplinarity in a new contemporary agenda, which is at the same time territorial, technological, social, environmental, cultural, political, educational, artistic and knowledge. In this sense, what stands out first is the application of traditions such as those of philosophy or history, theory and criticism to a whole set of objects that are not necessarily textual: technological poetics, transmedia devices, philosophy of technology and digital humanities are just some of the new denominations of the tradition of the Humanities in the XNUMXst century in its dialogue with technologies and in a new context of practices and knowledge. On the opposite side, the emergence of a set of practices and knowledge stands out that, generated from other disciplines and knowledge, and without the help of the Humanities and Social Sciences, are transforming their practices and traditions into mere instrumental objects devoid of a true philosophical-theoretical-critical reflection on historical contexts and their implications, as is the case of statistics and data science, programming and computing, urban planning or food engineering.

In this new knowledge scenario, higher education becomes necessary that provides humanistic knowledge to science graduates and, conversely, is capable of thinking about the horizons of the Humanities and Social Sciences in a new agenda of knowledge in the computerized societies.

Based on these indications, the creation of the Master of Humanities Increased in an interdisciplinary academic unit such as the CEI-UNR. Within the framework of new communication technologies and educational transformations at present, it will be carried out virtually and remotely, in accordance with the current transformations of the knowledge agenda and with the purpose of greater extension of the offer.
