An intense agenda of academic meetings organized by the Universidad Nacional de Rosario attract thousands of students and teachers to the city.
In recent times, the Universidad Nacional de Rosario It hosted various national conferences that attracted thousands of students and faculty. These academic activities generated a significant tourist impact and reaffirmed Rosario's role as a meeting place for the Argentine university and scientific community.
“During the year, more than 20 people will have come to our city invited by the UNR to participate in academic and scientific meetings, and this will contribute decisively to promoting the city as a meeting point and tourist destination, also in cultural matters,” explained Rector Franco Bartolacci, highlighting that “the UNR has been playing a prominent role nationally and internationally in recent years, which has led many of the country's scientific institutions to decide to hold their annual meetings in our city.”
Bartolacci emphasized that the Universidad Nacional de Rosario has become a meeting point for the academic community nationwide. "We are pleased that more and more people are choosing us, this year more than ever before, because in some way it is a recognition of the work of our community, which is a national benchmark, and of the increasingly determined establishment of the voice and representation of our University in all areas. The fact that, as a result, we can contribute to the tourist, and consequently economic, development of the city makes our satisfaction doubly so," he noted.
On August 28 and 29, the first University Innovation Congress was held, with approximately two thousand people participating in talks and panels in the classrooms of the Rosario University City (CUR). The sessions coincided with the 94th Plenary Session of Rectors and Deans of the National Interuniversity Council (CIN), which took place that last Friday in August at the University Cultural Center (ECU).
These meetings brought together members of the university community from every corner of the country, who, in addition to participating in academic activities, toured the city and occupied hotel rooms, generating a positive impact on tourism and cultural activities.
In September, on Thursday the 4th and Friday the 5th, the National Meeting of Argentine Design Students (ENEDA) took place, with 1700 registered participants. Young people arrived from Córdoba, Mendoza, Buenos Aires, and other locations to join the workshops, academic talks, and pre-professional training sessions. These days became a unique opportunity for students to learn, connect with others, and gain experiences that help them grow as designers.
