This is a resolution of the Superior Council that allows adding extracurricular academic data that enriches the training of students on their journey through UNR.

The Superior Council of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR) approved a resolution that allows more information to be incorporated into the degree analytical certificate that accompanies the university degree and that until now shows a list of the approved subjects and their corresponding grades. The proposal was promoted by the Academic and Learning Area to expand the references on training and thus implement the Supplement to the University Degree which has already been in force at the national level since 2017.

From this initiative Each student may request to add more data that concerns their training outside the study plan, such as participation in internships, research projects or volunteering, being a student assistant, counselor, representative of the UNR in sports, cultural events, and international activities. , olympiads, awards, distinctions, scholarships.

Romina Pérez, secretary of the Academic and Learning Area, explained that the transcript today reflects the curricular path, that is, meeting all the requirements established by the study plan, subjects and graduation requirements.What the University Degree Supplement reflects is all that journey that goes outside the curricular, all the extracurricular activities that make up university life.For example, if a student participates in an extension project, an international or national competition, if he/she participates in conferences and congresses, if he/she participates in the institutional life of the university as a board member, as a senior advisor, all participation in research projects, extension activities, internships, professional practices when they are not in the study plan.” 

And he added: “All these activities that are outside the curriculum enrich this journey and give it value. Because the journey through the university goes beyond the subjects that are approved in the curriculum and that are mandatory. Of course, always framed within the scope of both the university and the faculty, this information also goes to the ministry. And that person, tomorrow, when he presents that analytical certificate, can show the academic path with the grades and grades and also this training that the university offers that goes beyond strictly academic matters, because one grows in the university and transform".

“Not all universities have it regulated. This is a resolution of the Ministry of Education from 2017 that proposes to university institutions that belong to the National University System, that within the framework of their autonomy, they incorporate the supplement to the university degree for undergraduate and graduate courses. This resolution is already a few years old, what we did is regulate it. It is difficult to implement large universities because it involves uploading information, that the offices, the student addresses, not only upload the grades, This is information that is unique, personal, I think our University is characterized by recognizing individualities”Perez highlighted.

Thus, starting in August 2024, to proceed with the loading of this data into the analytics, to process the Supplement to the University Degree, it will be necessary for students who are missing two subjects from the study plan to receive them, to send an email to the students of the faculty attaching documentation that certifies extracurricular training activities.

Activities that may be certified in the Supplement to the University Degree:

– Academic Activities: performance as Student Assistant; Educational Social Practices, when they are not part of the degree curriculum; Academic Tutoring within the framework of programs and/or policies promoted by the University; Internships; Student mobility programs; Participation in academic activities carried out at the University; Extracurricular languages.
– Extension Activities; Participation in extension and linkage programs and/or projects; Volunteer programs: within the framework of UNR regulations; Research, Innovation and/or Scientific-Technological Linkage Activities; Participation in projects or research groups; Innovation activities.
– Exhibitions, samples and others in public or private spaces with recognized performance in the cultural field.
– Participation in stable musical groups dependent on the UNR or the Academic Units.
– Participation as a representative of the Academic Unit or the UNR in academic competitions and national and international contests or Olympics.
– Participation in scientific commissions, study and/or research centers, belonging to the Institution.
– Management Activities: Senior Advisor. Executive Advisor, Academic Advisor, member of the Electoral Board.
– Sports Activities, representation of the UNR at the local, regional or national level, obtaining awards.
– Awards, Distinctions, Scholarships within the framework of the University that are not financial support, accredited by respective resolution or official certification.
