Institutions that score highly in this area have more resources and academic staff available to students and hire high-quality research staff.
The Global Engagement lens aims to reflect the overall internationalization of higher education institutions by measuring their international outlook in terms of international students, staff, and their research ties outside their own location. Institutions that score highly in this area offer a more culturally diverse experience to students and staff and are more connected to international academic and research mobility networks.
Finally, the Sustainability Indicator highlights which institutions are demonstrating a commitment to a more sustainable existence and encompasses a variety of environmental, social, and governance factors. This ranges from campus environmental projects to diversity initiatives, institutional governance, and the impact of academic research on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
