The University inaugurated a UNR Point in the town of Arroyo Seco to provide information and training to the community in the region.

At an event held on October 18, a UNR Point was inaugurated at the House of Culture of Arroyo Seco that will serve as a meeting place between the community of this town and the University. In this space, information will be provided on the various activities that take place at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario and courses and training sessions will be held. The municipal cabinet, residents and the media participated in the event.

“We are convinced that we are a regional university and one of the ways to put this into practice is by creating spaces such as the one that is being inaugurated today,” said Rector Franco Bartolacci.

Previously, Bartolacci held a meeting with the Mayor of Arroyo Seco Daniel Tonelli, the Secretary of Finance Vanina Brancatto, the private secretary Marcelo Storani and a group of representatives of the main companies in the city: Grupo Albanesi thermoelectric, representatives of Shell, AgroArroyo, PackGrup, Marfrig, ADM ports and Banco Credicoop.

At the meeting, they exchanged information of interest about training courses, vocational courses, diplomas and training. They also discussed the needs of the local productive sector and the academic proposals of the University that could become an important factor in the articulation between training and insertion in the labor field.
