Registration will take place on August 12th, both in person and online.

La Universidad Nacional de Rosario UNR launches new academic and recreational programs for seniors for the second quarter of the year. Registration will take place on Tuesday, August 12, both in person and online: in the North Hall of the UNR Headquarters (Maipú 1065), from 9 a.m. to 13 p.m. and from 16 p.m. to 19 p.m., or through unr.edu.ar/personasmayores

The University for Seniors is a non-formal education program under the UNR's Area of Extension and Territory, aimed at individuals over 50 years of age interested in continuing to learn, sharing knowledge, and actively participating in university life.

Rector Franco Bartolacci emphasized the priority this program holds within the University's structure. "We reaffirm UNR's commitment to further developing this tool, which has been widely accepted and offers a training program on a variety of topics. We are convinced that the University must be open, engaged in dialogue with and committed to the actors of its time. One of the most important tools in this regard is the Senior Citizens Program, which has been consolidated in recent years. Today, it is a central and strategic initiative of the University," he added. "In this second semester, we will expand the range of courses and continue this long history of commitment to our senior citizens."

The activities are primarily held in the space inaugurated in 2022, located at Sarmiento 784, although some offerings are offered at other locations. The courses cover a wide range of topics and are coordinated with the curricular content of UNR's undergraduate programs.

At this registration stage, there are more than 750 spots available, including new courses and those already in development.
