The UNR is the university in the country that allocates the largest budget to University Welfare policies.

During 2025, the University Welfare Area of ​​the Universidad Nacional de Rosario It continued to develop a comprehensive policy aimed at guaranteeing access, retention, graduation, and well-being for the university community. Through its various departments, it coordinated food, academic, social, sports, community outreach, and mental health initiatives, consolidating a broad and sustained approach to student trajectories.

The year began with the opening of a new University Residence, launched in conjunction with the Municipality of Venado Tuerto. The residence is located on the upper floor of the building at 450 Moreno Street, in a central and strategic location in the city of Rosario. In recent years, the National University of Rosario (UNR) has worked diligently in this area, and there are now three residences in operation. “We are expanding resources to help our community in this challenging economic climate. We know that the opportunity to live in Rosario while pursuing a university degree is often a deciding factor for continuing one's studies,” explained Rector Franco Bartolacci, adding, “We want more students to be able to live in the city and fulfill their dream of becoming professionals.”

Along the same lines, the head of the University Welfare Area, Gustavo Simoneta, highlighted that “the UNR University Residence Program, together with the Scholarship Program and the University Dining Halls Program, function as central tools to guarantee that students can continue their university studies.”

More than 35 people visited the UNR Career Expo.

During 2025, more than 200 million pesos were invested in the Scholarship Program, with a particular focus on strengthening Access Scholarships to promote the enrollment of first-generation university students. “As part of this effort, we worked in coordination with the city's five districts, reaching 298 new students from 40 different schools who joined the UNR through this scholarship,” Simoneta explained.

For its part, the network of University Dining Halls continued to consolidate itself as one of the central policies of the university.
