Last Friday, March 21st, the Montevideo Group University Association (UNR) team participated in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences' 2025 International Opportunities Promotion Conference. The event aimed to promote international mobility programs for university professors and researchers and students, as well as showcase experiences of mobility abroad.
In this space, Advisory Delegate Mg. María Cecilia Candusso presented the Association's ongoing activities within the framework of established programs such as ESCALA, for faculty and undergraduate student mobility; the Young Researchers Conference, its history and regional significance; the work of the Disciplinary Nucleus and Academic Committee groups; and the Summer-Winter Schools.
The Delegate emphasizes the importance of taking advantage of opportunities at the regional level, including disciplinary opportunities, to access funding through the presentation of projects that involve students, faculty, and researchers in their work groups. These include proposals from the CAPES-Montevideo Group program, Move la América, and access to training from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) through the agreement signed with the Association.


For her part, the representative of the Agri-Food Academic Committee, Dr. Rosana Rotondo, a professor at the host Faculty, spoke about the functioning and actions being carried out by the group, which holds its annual in-person meeting in sustained collaboration with the organization of the Network's Young Researchers Conference.
Finally, Agricultural Engineer Josefina Scaglione, Professor of Land Management, commented on her participation in the last edition of the Conference, which took place at the University
