The 4th Conference on “Transvestite, Trans, and LGBTI Experiences: Dialogues between Collective Organization, Territory, and the University” constitutes a federal space for encounter, exchange, and collective construction among activists, social organizations, management spaces, health and cultural sectors, and public universities. The initiative had its first edition in José C. Paz in 2019, continued in Tucumán in 2023, in Mar del Plata in 2025, and will take place in Rosario in 2026. Throughout its various editions, the Conference has brought together accounts of experiences, thematic panels, book presentations, and cultural activities that promote dialogue between academic, community, and activist knowledge.
Its main objectives include:
• To strengthen the links and connections between transvestite, trans and LGBTI+ experiences from different parts of the country, from a broad and federal perspective.
• Promote genuine dialogue between activist groups, universities, and public institutions, overcoming the traditional boundaries between these areas.
• Recognize and prioritize the knowledge produced by the trajectories and experiences of transvestite, trans and LGBTI+ people, promoting their participation in the production of knowledge.
• To promote a public university committed to social demands, capable of supporting, empowering and learning from organizational and community processes.
