Registration for courses in the Open University for Older Adults Program will be extended until August 9, both in person and online.

La Universidad Nacional de Rosario launches new academic and recreational proposals for Senior Citizens for this second semester. Registration will be available from Wednesday, August 7 to Friday, August 9.

The Open University Program for Older Adults is a non-formal education program dependent on the UNR Extension and Territory Area. It is aimed at people over 50 years of age and implements academic proposals that cover various topics designed from the curricular content of the academic units of undergraduate courses.

Rector Franco Bartolacci highlighted the priority place that this device has within the University structure. “We ratify the UNR’s commitment to deepen this tool, which has found great acceptance and offers a training proposal in various subjects. We are convinced that the University must be open, in dialogue with the actors of its time and committed to them. One of the most important tools in this direction is the Senior Citizens Program that has been consolidated in recent years. Today it is a central and strategic program of the University,” and added: “In this second semester we are going to expand the variety of courses and continue with this long history of commitment to our senior citizens.”

It is worth remembering that the Open University Program for Older Adults has a new physical space inaugurated during 2022, which is located at Sarmiento 784. The program seeks to provide courses open to the entire community and the only requirement to enroll is to be over 50 years of age at the time of registration.
