The new academic proposal for trade courses is carried out jointly between the UNR School of Trades and the Undersecretariat of Social Economy of the Municipality.
Starting Monday, May 6, registrations for more than 100 trade training courses, certified by the UNR School of Trades, which will be developed in the seven centers of entrepreneurs of the social economy and in the forty Cuidar centers that are distributed throughout the city and depend on the Municipality of Rosario.
This initiative is based on an agreement signed on Wednesday, April 24 at the Parada Oeste Entrepreneur Center (Bv. Seguí 6652) between the Universidad Nacional de Rosario and Municipality of Rosario. The agreement was signed by the secretary of the UNR Extension and Territory Area, Ianara Hummel; the secretary of Human Development and Habitat, Nicolas Gianelloni, and the Undersecretary of Social Economy, Vanesa Di Bene.
This commitment seeks to decentralize the various courses offered by the School of Trades, guaranteeing that the residents of the city can be trained and educated in 15 items, such as: blacksmithing, carpentry, manicure, photography, barbering, baking, home electricity, accessory and clothing design, among others. The project is complemented by the proposals offered in the district centers and in the spaces of the Local Agency for the Prevention and Addressing of Problematic Consumption.

“For us it is to continue deepening this expansion policy that the university has been developing for some time in conjunction with the municipality. And it also precisely reflects this idea that the university is much more present in the territory,” Hummel remarked.
“One of the fundamental missions of the university precisely has to do with this: giving back to society a little of everything that society gives us with the support of the university today in our country,” said the secretary of the Area of Extension and Territory, and added: “For us, the university is not only about certifying degrees with traditional degree programs but it is also about generating higher levels of integration and opportunities, especially insertion into the workplace with the proposals for trades, with the courses for older adults, with the virtual secondary school. The public university is also all that.”
