The Inclusion and Accessibility Directorate, dependent on the UNR Human Rights Area, is an institutional management space where programs and projects are carried out, with the purpose of recognizing and working for the rights of people with disabilities in all areas. of university life.
In this sense, work is being done to progressively achieve an inclusive environment in all educational and cultural spaces, promote entry, accompany educational trajectories and generate lines of work that contribute to the construction of inclusive policies, practices and cultures. In addition, it seeks to strengthen undergraduate and postgraduate training and promote academic production on the topic of disability.
Consisting of an interdisciplinary team, the Program seeks to accompany students with disabilities in their educational career, jointly and collaboratively identifying with the leaders of each academic unit, the barriers to access and participation within university life.

Within the framework of what is established by National Law No. 25.689 on the employment of People with Disabilities and in conjunction with the APUR Guild, in 2019 the first call for applications for people to the Job Quota was held and it continues today. uninterrupted.
Made up of representatives from each Academic Unit, Middle Schools and Management Areas of the UNR. Its objective is to expand the dialogue, agenda and planning of institutional management actions in relation to inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities in a coordinated, interdisciplinary, synergistic and relational manner.
The UNR Research and Development Program on disability from the perspective of Human Rights is made up of the UNR Human Rights Area, the UNR Science, Technology and Innovation for Development Area and the Rosario Institute for Research in Educational Sciences – IRICE (CONICET/ UNR).
Disability and Human Rights Diploma. Approach from education
Its objective is to generate learning and critical reflection on the issue of disability from a human rights perspective.
We work on five thematic modules: Main concepts about disability – Human Rights and disability – Realities of people with disabilities – Inclusive education – Accessibility
Training sessions are carried out on the topic of inclusion and accessibility in the academic units, middle schools and institutional management spaces of the UNR.
Articulation with social organizations of people with disabilities and different management areas at the municipal and provincial level.
From the Management we are part of the Executive Committee of the Interuniversity Disability Network (RID) of the National Interuniversity Council (CIN), where different axes and lines of work are carried out to mainstream the issue of disability in all public universities in the country.
We participate in the meetings of the Academic Committee on Accessibility and Disability of the Association of Universities Group Montevideo, together with Universities from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
