Project

Human Seminal Microbiota

Description

The main bacterial genera that make up the seminal microbiota play a role in sperm quality and are possibly associated with male fertility and infertility.

General Objective:

Analyze the main genera of microorganisms of the seminal microbiota and their effect on semen quality in patients with male fertility and infertility.

Specific objectives:

1. Identify the bacterial genera that make up the seminal microbiota.

2. Evaluate the possible effects of the presence of these genera of microorganisms in the semen of fertile and infertile men.

3. Establish if the alteration of the seminal microbiota has any association with immunity.
