Project: Technologies for human development in health of communities in poverty.

Linked Target: Design technologies for human development in the health of communities in poverty.

General description: Development of diagnoses and technologies that contribute to human development in health of communities in poverty.

1- Health promotion activities in communities in poverty to disseminate healthy living tools and assess health problems. Health promotion activities will be carried out in different areas of the Villa Banana neighborhood (Rosario, Santa Fe) to disseminate tools that allow people to change to a healthier life. The calls for activities as mentioned are open to the entire scientific community and are organized in collaboration with the Marcelino Champagnat School (Primary No. 1422 and Secondary No. 3161), the David Staffieri Municipal Health Center, the Municipal Center for Neighborhood Coexistence West, and the Municipal Urban Guard. The actions to be carried out in each activity are defined based on the proposals of the participants and the socio-sanitary situation of the Villa Banana neighborhood. 2- Development of measurement techniques for biochemical laboratories according to the characteristics of technologies for human development. The objective of this part is to collaboratively develop technologies under the Open Source model and that involve the use of resources and sustainable processes in their life cycle that, in this way, can be transferred to the Champagnat School as a way of accessing the Banana Villa community. The technologies to be developed are those that are part of the community health promotion instruments related to access to water and nutrition. The proposal is to work on the methodology for the detection of free Chlorine in water, which we are currently carrying out using commercial kits and colorimeters.

3-Develop strategies for community health promoters related to the opportunity for healthy care for infants in the Villa Banana neighborhood. The task will be oriented within the health problems related to the care of infants in the Villa Banana community and involves a collaborative task with the educational community of the Champagnat School. The stages of diagnosis and development will be carried out in meetings where a valued problem of the homes of the neighborhood will be evaluated, and a contribution is proposed that is disseminated in the community through a strategy of community health promoters. The aforementioned strategy is applied in a day held at the school, with open doors to the community called "Knowledge and Human Development Day". The activities with the Champagnat School will seek to bring the educational community of the School closer to the University and promote their incorporation into our courses and careers, as a way of enabling the participation of the neighbors themselves in the technical contributions to solve their problems.
