The UNR defines itself as a feminist and popular Public University. It is within this framework that a special area was created to deepen the task of building an egalitarian, inclusive, plural society, free of violence, from a gender perspective.
It was in 2019 that this innovative process of institutionalization and prioritization of gender and sexuality policies began from the highest management level. Among the first challenges, transformations were promoted in the study plans, in the classrooms, in management policies with the intention of disarming sexist violence that for years was naturalized in the academic field.
This is the UNR Feminist Plan that promotes gender equality and the eradication of sexist violence; develops education and training programs for the university community covered by the Comprehensive Sexual Education Law and the Micaela Law on Compulsory Gender Training; develops prevention, approach and awareness actions for the eradication of sexist violence; guarantees the annual implementation of the travesti-trans labor quota and the right to comprehensive sexual health.
