The delivery of the new technological equipment that is part of the university halls of the Penal Units of our city and the region was finalized.

During the month of July, the new technological equipment was delivered to Penal Units No. 3, No. 5, No. 11 and No. 16, where the Socio-Educational Directorate in Confinement Contexts, dependent on the Human Rights Area of the University, works on a daily basis to comprehensively and articulately address the three constitutive dimensions of the Public University: Extension, Research and Training.

These new tools were acquired from the project that won funding from the Bard Prison Initiative - Bard College - Consortium for the Liberal Arts in Prison - Open Society University Network and Incarceration Natios Network (BPI) of the Call "Announcement of Capacity Building Grants for University-Prison partnerships and/or programs outside of the United States”.

This delivery will allow, on the one hand, to generate the optimal material conditions so that people deprived of their liberty can continue with their studies and, on the other hand, to carry out training in digital literacy for the consolidation of virtual classrooms in university spaces in prison.
