Licenses are extended to teaching and non-teaching staff.
La Universidad Nacional de Rosario, extends care and parenting licenses for co-pregnant, adoptive and co-adopting personnel. Likewise, new licenses are incorporated to access assisted reproduction treatments, and to access adaptation treatments in accordance with the rights enshrined in National Law 26743 on Gender Identity.
Extending leave for care and upbringing is an initiative that has gained relevance in government agendas, especially if we consider that care tasks are a public matter and that their redistribution is a key dimension to mitigate gender gaps in the work trajectories. The modification of the regulations are a fundamental tool to promote co-responsibility and reconciliation between work time and family life.
With the new regulations approved, both by the Superior Council for teaching and research staff, and by Resolution of the Rector for non-teaching staff:
- Leave for co-pregnant personnel is increased from 15 to 30 days.
- The license for adoptive personnel is extended to 90 days, which until now was 60 days
- Leave for co-adoptive personnel is increased from 15 to 30 days.
Likewise, the modification of the regulations provides for two new licenses for staff. By
On the one hand, a 30-day license is provided for access to assisted reproduction procedures. On the other hand, UNR personnel will have the right to leave with salaries of up to 5 continuous or discontinuous business days per calendar year to access procedures, studies or practices that are framed within the National Law 26.743 on Gender Identity. .
The promotion of care and co-responsibility policies at the UNR is one of the fundamental dimensions of the UNR FEMINIST PLAN, which seeks to reduce gender gaps and promote gender equality in the institution.
