:: RATIONALE:
Literacy constitutes a central topic that can be resized from what the literate culture, which goes through any social and schooling process, today demands and from the contributions that over the last few years arise from the research developed within the framework of different disciplines (Psycholinguistics, History of culture, Sociology, Sociolinguistics, Linguistics, among others). Given that literacy is inherent to education processes of any level and modality, the analysis of this process allows us to recontextualize the role of educational institutions, the teacher and the professionals linked to that task.
It is estimated that contributing to better quality in literacy and the construction of an inclusive school requires the training of professionals from different disciplines and experiences, capable of generating and guiding actions aimed at enabling the access, and permanence, of more individuals to culture. lawyer and, with this, influence the parameters of social and economic development. For this, the theoretical and empirical contributions offered by the interdisciplinary subjects, taught by experts in different disciplines offered by this Specialization, are evaluated as relevant, to create a corpus of information and practical and conceptual tools that allows future specialists to interpret, review and reformulate the ways in which elements of the educational system and the health system linked to educational activity interact.
It is considered that this Specialization covers a vacancy area, because although there are offers related to literacy studies, the particularity of this Postgraduate Degree lies in the attention to the interactions and articulations between literacy in inclusion, between paradigms of health and illness, between difference and deficiency.
