The date for submitting abstracts is extended until July 29 of the VII International Meeting of Thesis Students and Researchers on Prison Themes and Access to Educational Rights – EITICE

The VII EITICE will be held on October 3 and 4, 2024, this time at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Playa Ancha (UPLA) in Valparaíso, Chile.

For one more year, the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, through the Human Rights Area and its Socio-educational Directorate in Contexts of Confinement in coordination with the Research Center in Socio-educational Contexts of the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations (UNR), will be participating in the VII edition of the EITICE. This exchange space arises as an initiative of different universities in the region, with the purpose of promoting research on the reference topic, understanding the particular responsibility that higher education has in the development of research in Latin American countries, being its main reference.

It will have a hybrid modality, where virtual participation will be accepted from those who register for the meeting as attendees, whether they are researchers in prison or are exhibitors or speakers from other countries.

In this seventh Meeting, as in the previous ones, the aim is to recognize, bring together and consolidate research groups, researchers, thesis students and teachers whose topics of inquiry are linked to the themes of deprivation of liberty and access to education. and its articulations with access to other rights. Hence, the emphasis will be given to the exchange and discussion of the research agenda related to education in the indicated context, as well as the debate of the work of those who are developing research in said field.

The event will have 2 spaces for participation, designed according to the type of research and the work modality that each attendee applies for: Research: a path to dialogue and Workshop on systematization of experiences.
