:: RATIONALE: The Binational PhD in Molecular Biosciences and Biomedicine is a postgraduate program dedicated to training students with an intensive theoretical and practical focus. The main objective is to deepen our understanding of the physiological and molecular processes of a wide variety of organisms. Our curriculum is based on an interdisciplinary concept that includes Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Medicine, which are the fundamental pillars upon which our program rests.
:: TARGET AUDIENCE: Graduates of programs belonging to the following faculties: Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Medical Sciences, Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences – Bachelor's degrees in Biotechnology and Chemistry – Programs with a focus on Physics and Biology. Applications will be open to graduates of all national universities.
Postdoctoral opportunities: Graduates of the binational doctoral program have excellent opportunities to join academic institutions in both Argentina and Germany. Opportunities also exist in the German private sector. All the Max Planck Institutes for Biophysical Chemistry and Experimental Medicine in Göttingen participate in this binational doctoral program, and these institutes are also linked to a broad network of diverse industries and companies.
The PhD is recognized by the University of Gottingen and belongs to the GGNB, the Graduate School of Neurosciences, Biophysics and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Gottingen. Due to this, the Argentine graduate of this program has the same treatment as a German graduate.
