🚀 We start the year with good news!
We are very pleased to share with you an article recently published in the Chilean Journal of Public Health titled: “The production of knowledge in a postgraduate course in public health in Argentina: contributions for debate and reflection”.

Although the number and quality of public health studies in the country and the region have increased over the years, they continue to be marginal when compared to biomedical or clinical research lines, both in terms of the number of research projects they host and the number of scientific publications they generate. However, postgraduate training spaces linked to the field are privileged spaces where this type of knowledge is produced: an important part of the production of knowledge in public health is linked to the theses generated there, although with little dissemination among those who should be their privileged interlocutors: citizens, health service professionals, those responsible for management, political leaders, etc.
Bridging the gap between researchers, professionals, managers, policy makers and the population remains a major challenge. In this regard, we consider it essential to strengthen an academic culture that facilitates the dissemination, publication, discussion and communication of thesis work. This systematization points in that direction.

El main goal of the article was to identify trends in research in the field of public health from the analysis of the theses approved in the Master of Public Health from the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, between 1995 - start of the postgraduate course - and 2022.
