La Universidad Nacional de Rosario Registration opens for the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Studies in Virtual Teaching and Learning Environments, intended for teachers of the institution. The course, which will be based in the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, is distance learning and is free for UNR faculty.
This journey seeks to train teachers in the design of open, democratic and plural educational physical-virtual spaces; plan teaching, learning and evaluation in Virtual Environments and critically analyze the use of various tools in educational environments.
In 2018, the Universidad Nacional de Rosario proceeded to create the Institutional System of Distance Education and defined Distance Education as a pedagogical and didactic option mediated by information and communication technology (ICT) in which the teacher-student relationship that is separated in time and space during the Teaching and learning process.
In this context, and taking into account the innovation experiences with the use of ICT in the delivery of various curricular spaces of undergraduate, postgraduate and other training proposals, added to the strategies that had to be implemented within the framework of the pandemic by COVID 19, the Universidad Nacional de Rosario proposes this diploma that addresses problems linked to the design of Virtual Teaching and Learning Environments, with special emphasis on the educational platform Moodle, used by the UNR Virtual Campus and various synchronous tools.
The diploma is made up of 6 theoretical and practical modules, 2 modules referring to the theoretical perspectives of Distance Education, 3 technical-practical implementation modules on educational platforms, especially Open Source Moodle, which is the one used by the University, and two transversal modules: one referring to contributions from outstanding professors from the UNR and other Universities on specific topics that enrich the debate on the problem, and another referring to the Comprehensive Final Project that will be carried out throughout the entire course.
