The Rector of the UNR Franco Bartolacci and the Minister of Equality, Gender and Diversity of the province María Florencia Marinaro signed an agreement for the implementation of the Diploma in Gender and Community Participation, which will be developed in five towns in Santa Fe.
The diploma is especially aimed at women and sexual diversities from social and popular organizations, with the aim of strengthening training and promoting territorial actions and interventions from the development of community, local and situated strategies for the promotion of rights and prevention of violence against women. gender.

The Secretary of the Gender Area of the UNR Florencia Rovetto affirmed that the Diploma is an important milestone because "it connects us strongly with the territory, strengthens the policies that we have been carrying out from the Universities such as the Feminist Universities Program with the intention of promoting everything that It was done in terms of research, extension and training”. For Rovetto "it is a policy that recovers the claims and needs from below and promotes community productions to generate a more equitable life in the territories."
He also made reference to the Conference "Making Feminist Universities" that will be held for the first time in Rosario on May 26 and 27, organized together with the Ministry of Equality, Gender and Diversity of the province and the RUGE (University Gender Network) that was established in 2015 and which brings together feminist university students from all over the country to project better policies towards the outside and inside of the Universities.
The Minister of Equality, Gender and Diversity of the province, María Florencia Marinaro, expressed that community and institutional articulation with the University is key for the government. “In moments of crisis like the one we are going through with the pandemic, social, women’s, and sexual diversity organizations were present on the front line of battle, putting their bodies together, supporting the territories, soup kitchens, soup kitchens, in articulation with the State”, he maintained and added: “This Diploma will allow them to access the University in the territories of the different communes”.

The Secretary of Training and Training for Equality of the Ministry of Equality, Gender and Diversity, Luciano Fabbri and the Academic Coordinator of the Diploma Florencia Catelani commented on the proposal and the joint work between the government of Santa Fe and the Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
The first edition of the Diploma will take place from June to October 2022, and will be held in the cities of Rosario, Casilda, Venado Tuerto, Villa Constitución and Cañada de Gómez, in person in each location. Registration for the first edition will open in mid-May 2022. The second edition will be aimed at the north-central region of the province of Santa Fe and will be held in the first semester of 2023.
