Undergraduate Diploma in Port and Waterway Management
Created in 2020 according to RES. 042/2020 of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario
Academic Coordination: Prof. Juan Carlos Venesia
Technical Secretary: Lic. María Natalia Suñer
:: RATIONALE:
The social economic development of the Argentine Republic is determined by a strong network of river and sea ports. For years, the national port dynamic has been the axis of economic growth and has determined its link with the outside world through exports and imports of related goods and services.
Within this framework, those who have been professionally immersed in this dynamic have learned operations, procedures, and commercial transactions that drive the need for systematization and curricular and academic deepening of this knowledge. In this context, we consider that they can be formalized through the proposal offered by UNR through undergraduate diplomas.
This training through the diploma will allow training human resources linked to the port sector - and other possible interested parties in it -, through the approach of theoretical - practical content aimed at optimizing their performance.
:: DURATION AND MODALITY: Annual – from March to November / The teaching modality will be hybrid, with online classes and the possibility of face-to-face technical visits.
:: GRADUATE PROFILE: The Diploma aims to provide students with training that allows the deepening of knowledge and the development of skills linked to port work, as well as formalizing the knowledge linked to the port field and linking the Universidad Nacional de Rosario with the port community and its institutions.
