:: RATIONALE:
The Undergraduate Diploma in Workshop Design in Non-Formal Education and Promotion of the Right to Education was created in 2023, RESOL. CS No. 153/2023.
As a direct precedent, it has the work sustained since 2018, within the framework of the Program for Strengthening School Trajectories (PRO.FOR.TE.), Resol. 2579/2018 UNR, which has developed a Non-Formal Education proposal whose main objective is to promote the fundamental Right to Education of children in public primary schools in vulnerable areas of Rosario. These workshops constitute a methodology of intervention in the territory, with pedagogical intention, which aims to strengthen trajectories through the educational system. This Program develops its activities in civil society institutions with which the University has agreements and 80 students have already carried out volunteer tasks in them from 2018 to date.
The Diploma proposes an interdisciplinary approach that combines knowledge of Educational Policy and Legislation, Pedagogy and Non-Formal Education, from the perspective of an articulation between learning and the Subjective and Linkal aspects of it. In this way, it aims to develop in students a reflective and comprehensive view of childhood, as a practice located in the territory.
:: DURATION AND MODALITY:
The diploma program lasts one academic year, from March to December. It includes 1) theoretical components, 2) practical components, and 3) opportunities for reflection and sharing of experience.
Start with a theoretical introductory course This intensive and mandatory course consists of two days of instruction at the beginning of the program, to be held on Thursday, April 9th and Friday, April 10th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Sarmiento 784 (UNR headquarters). It is designed for prospective graduates. The course is taught by an interdisciplinary team of professors from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, which aims to develop basic notions that enable the construction of tools to operate in the territory. The theoretical modules are on April 9th and 10th from 9 am to 15 pm at Sarmiento 784 (UNR headquarters).
The practice It is carried out in Centers for Strengthening School Trajectories (CFTE), located in civil society organizations that have been developing sustained social work in neighborhoods of the city of Rosario, in addition to public and private organizations within the framework of specific agreements of cooperation and/or technical assistance with the Extension and Territory Area of the Universidad Nacional de RosarioThe practical component requires the submission of a weekly plan on the platform and a commitment of 1.5 hours per week in the fieldIt can be developed in the time slots of 9:30 to 11 a.m. or 15 to 16:30 p.m. (a day and time are chosen to carry out the practice throughout the year).

On the second Monday of each month, from 2:15 to 17:30 pm, we hold an in-person meeting for review and sharing of the practice.
Upon completion of the Diploma program , participants will receive a certificate issued by the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies. This certificate does not constitute a degree and therefore does not qualify the holder to practice professionally. However, those who complete the program may have it recognized as equivalent to a Social and Educational Practice (UNR) qualification.
:: GRADUATE PROFILE:
The purpose of the diploma is to train future professionals committed to current social problems, childhood and education.
Understanding that extension is essential for the training of those who go through Higher Education, the design of non-formal education workshops enhances creativity and empathy with boys and girls who go through the educational system within the framework of vulnerable contexts. From this institutional experience, an instance of theoretical-practical training is proposed in the Design and implementation of Non-Formal Education Workshops based on didactic sequences whose pedagogical intention is to promote the appropriation of basic knowledge of the first cycle of the primary level of the school system. taking into account the vicissitudes of working with children in territories.
