The UNR organized a space for debate with national legislators on the law for the Promotion of electromobility.
Taking into account that transportation represents 30% of the total energy demand and explains 15% of the emission of greenhouse gases, the Universidad Nacional de Rosario coordinated a dialogue with national legislators on sustainable mobility at the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Engineering and Surveying.
The meeting discussed the bill "Promotion of electromobility" that was entered into the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation and establishes the guidelines to completely transform the country's transportation towards a more sustainable and less polluting modality.
The purpose of the project is to promote the growing and sustained use of vehicles powered by non-conventional energy sources of national production for sustainable mobility, both those existing at the time of the enactment of the law, and those that will be produced in the future.

Likewise, it points to the promotion of investments that allow the growing and sustained development of a national offer of sustainable mobility vehicles, as well as the creation of support institutions for the purposes of these objectives.
The space for dialogue was coordinated by Magister Mónica Alvarado, professor and academic secretary of the School of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Exact Sciences, and Engineer Néstor Sidotti, professor and director of the School of Electrical Engineering of the institution.
