UNR recognized faculty members from all academic units for their commitment, dedication, and sensitivity in their daily work.
As part of UNR Teachers' Day, celebrated on June 29th in honor of "The Night of the Long Batons," a moving ceremony was held at the University Cultural Center, where professors from all of the University's faculties and high schools received a diploma for their dedication and career.
The event was presided over by Rector Franco Bartolacci, Vice-Rector Darío Masía, Municipal Council President María Eugenia Schmuck, faculty deans, high school principals, university officials, COAD, APUR, FUA, and FUR representatives, teachers, and family members.
In this complex context, the University wanted to pay tribute to the professors who, despite the circumstances, carry out their work with commitment, dedication, and sensitivity, providing the level of teaching excellence that characterizes this institution.

“All education is a great labor of love,” the Rector stated, emphasizing that “with this act, we recognize the love put into the daily work of each and every teacher, a well-deserved acknowledgment of the effort, professionalism, and sensitivity with which they carry out their work every day.”
On behalf of the UNR, Bartolacci thanked them "for doing everything necessary under such difficult conditions, knowing how important it is to so many people." He emphasized: "We need decent wages for higher education workers. There can be no excellent public university without decent wages for teaching staff in the national university system. Education must be a priority, and the work of those who teach must be recognized and fairly valued."
He emphasized that "in the face of so much injustice, mistreatment, and disregard, the most powerful act of rebellion is to continue transforming the lives of countless people every day, to continue challenging, raising questions, helping everyone to build their own way of thinking, feeling, and acting in the world."
