Human rights are an unavoidable reference that mark the pulse of social, cultural and political struggles aimed at consolidating the public sphere and contributing to the strengthening of democracy. Faced with a society that produces and reproduces inequalities in a hierarchical way, education based on the human rights approach is an imperative task to defend the hope of a more just, free and sovereign society.

The UNR, as an institution that generates knowledge, contributes to develop critical and formative perspectives on social phenomena and generate contributions in the conditions of possibility for society to access the material, cultural and symbolic goods that it produces.

The Human Rights Area works daily in multiple ways to build social ties capable of generating more humanizing plots for our community.
