The second edition of the Call for Applied Research Projects “University and Sustainable Development” is now open. You have until December 9 to submit your project idea.
The call seeks to meet these demands by promoting applied research projects that develop and validate scientific and technological knowledge oriented to the strategic axes that have been selected in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) established by the UN. The call aims to consolidate the development of inter and multidisciplinary projects with the participation of established UNR groups.
The UNR Science, Technology and Innovation for Development Area aims to support proposals from their earliest stages. To do so, Project Ideas will be selected in the first instance, from which the Projects will be formulated. In the formulation stage, dialogue will be facilitated between research groups working on similar topics, the link with the local social and productive framework, and any issue that promotes the correct execution of the projects.
This new edition is co-financed by the UNR Science, Technology and Innovation for Development Area and the Ministry of Productive Development of the Province of Santa Fe through the Santa Fe Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation (ASACTEI), which will allow for an expansion of the range of projects presented and the amounts of financing.
Thematic Areas:
- SDG number 2 Zero hunger: Projects that allow for an increase in the quantity, quality and access to food, as well as in all the derived and associated industries and services for its transformation, commercialization, development of intermediate goods and new uses of raw materials. Its objectives are to improve the nutrition of the population of Santa Fe and increase the competitiveness of the Province at a global level based on sustainable solutions.
- SDG number 3 Good Health and Well-being, Neglected and Rare Diseases: Research related to prevention, care, promotion and comprehensive care of human health, contributions to the development of new therapies, health approaches, innovative drugs and medical technologies.
- SDG number 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: Developments that seek to modernize infrastructure and reconvert industries to make them sustainable, using resources more efficiently and promoting the adoption of clean and environmentally sound industrial technologies and processes. Bioinputs, biomaterials, bioenergy, biofuels New approaches in agriculture and livestock that are socially and environmentally responsible.
Target:
Multidisciplinary work teams whose members have as their workplace an academic unit of the UNR or an executing unit with dual membership UNR-CONICET may apply. Those who are excluded from applying are:
teachers-researchers who have obtained subsidies from the call for University and Sustainable Development 2023 (Res. 1012/22).
Financing:
Total fund of $150.000.000. Ten projects will be granted funding for a maximum of $10 each.
The disbursements of ANR funds to each project will be made in two tranches. The first at the start of the project execution of $7.500.000. The second of $2.500.000 12 months after the start of the project execution against presentation of the second progress report and accountability of at least 90% of the first disbursement.
Dates and presentation methods
- Project Ideas Presentation (PI): will be open until December 9. The Project Ideas are a first approximation to the identified problem and the intervention strategy. Modality: SIGEVA-UNR
